Racing has always been in Bob Dillner's blood. His father and uncle were accomplished racers on Long Island, New York. Bob and his brother Matt visited short tracks with their mom and dad every weekend growing up.

That exposure to the sport filled Bob Dillner's blood with racing fuel. From the time he first put a pen to paper, writing about his beloved NASCAR Modifieds and other short track racing series in the Northeast as a teenager, Dillner has had a hand in growing several businesses and media formats revolving around the motorsports industry, including 51 Sports and its flagship short track racing news website, Speed51.com.

These days, Bob Dillner can be found reporting the hottest news inside the NASCAR garage on SPEED every weekend. Dillner worked hard every day of his life to make it to the highest levels of the racing media with SPEED. He has since taken that same mentality and put every effort towards allowing his BDI Racing team drivers achieve the same goals behind the wheel.

At first, BDI Racing was a recreational racing organization, fielding Street Stocks in the Lowe's Motor Speedway (NC)

 

Summer Shootout for Dillner, his family and friends to get a chance to wheel a high-powered racecar in a televised and well-attended event every week.

Since then, BDI Racing has grown to become one of the most successful short track racing development teams in the Southeast. With house drivers Zach Stroupe, Nick Stroupe and Dillner's daughter Meghan and son Blaise, BDI Racing's crews hit tracks around the Southeast and beyond every weekend from Quarter Midgets to Bandoleros to Pro Challenge to Super Late Models.

But, it's not just the house drivers that BDI Racing guides along the way. With a full staff of knowledgeable and dedicated team members in the shop and at the track, BDI Racing has helped guide the careers of racers of all different racing backgrounds get the thrill of short track racing in an attempt to guide them on their way up the racing ladder. All of the team's success over the years has led BDI Racing to be one of the most respected setup, repair and consultation organizations in all of short track racing.

Results, success and respect are not things that are simply handed over. They are earned. That's how Bob Dillner learned those facts and that is how BDI Racing has become what it is today. With hard work and dedication, BDI Racing has a successful present and an even brighter future.
